Wingate by Wyndham Gunnison Near Western Colorado University

I had a great experience staying at the Wingate in Gunnison. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and truly made me feel at home. The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable — exactly what you want after a long day of travel or outdoor activities. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and spotless, with comfortable beds that made it easy to get a great night’s rest. Breakfast was well organized with a good variety, and the common areas were always clean and inviting. The location is perfect — close to everything in Gunnison and ideal if you’re here for fishing, outdoor adventures, or just passing through. You can tell the team takes pride in their work and cares about their guests. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gunnison, Colorado.

It was a good clean room. Great location. My only thing is they had powdered eggs for breakfast and instant coffee. Just a minor issue I would still stay here again.

Akhil and the staff were all very helpful, I had breakfast early and my rooms were cleaned and NOTHING STOLEN Which makes a huge deal too me and the safety of where I stayed for over a week.

Overall very good for the price! Comfortable. 2 sinks!! Bathroom fixtures a bit dated but that’s fine with me. Bed and furniture appear new. Nice bedding. Breakfast is okay. Lobby and room clean Staff provided me a ride to airport early in the morning. Only a 7 minute walk to downtown. I’d stay again.

My stay at wingate by wyndham was nothing short of spectacular. The hotel's elegant design, combined with its top-notch amenities, made for a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. The attentive and courteous staff catered to my every need mainly I should tell about staff they are humble and respectful to me the gentleman name called Mr Akhil he helped me for breakfast menu and I asked him to way for swimming pool he took me in humble Tanq Akhil and Tanq wingate I will tell all of my family members and friends to visit the hotel because of clean and good staff member .

TLDR: You get what you pay for! Wingate is centrally located in Gunnison, and is only about 20 minutes away from Blue Mesa Reservoir and other beautiful outdoor areas. Check in and out were very easy. The front desk person was kind. We stayed in a double queen suite on the second floor. There is no elevator. The beds are quite firm and pillows were plentiful, if not high quality. There's decent wifi and cable TV but the rooms are a bit run down. Breakfast was simple but plentiful. Not the best quality but certainly not the worst. The indoor pool and hot tub are older but heated and nice enough. They're not terribly large but weren't crowded when we went at 4pm on a Saturday.

We were in Gunnison for a family memorial service. I requested and paid for a suite so our family could have private time. Our daughter and family had a room just like ours, not considered a suite and paid half as much. Don't be fooled. Room was nice, however not worth paying twice as much just because they list an upgrade to a suite
